Even with this staggering appreciation rate, Lake Oswego is experiencing a buyers market for the most part. Yes. Lake Oswego’s lake called “Oswego Lake” is a private lake and privately maintained by the Lake Corp and shareholders of the lake. If you want to enjoy the lake with your kayak or SUP or if you would like a powerboat on the lake, you will either need to purchase a Lake Oswego waterfront home or you will need to find a neighborhood with an easement to the lake. The easements usually have a waiting list for a boat slip assignment, so we have found that Griffin May which is a place next door to the Lake Corp has a faster moving slip list than many of the easements.
